Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace

Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, known as 'Daria Daulat Bagh' (meaning 'wealth of the sea'), is an 18th-century masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture located in the heart of old Bangalore near KR Market. Built entirely of teakwood, the two-story palace features intricately carved pillars, ornate arches, and floral motifs that showcase the artistic achievements of Tipu Sultan's court. The interior walls were originally adorned with murals depicting Tipu's victories, some of which are still partially visible. The surrounding lawns and gardens, while modest in size, provide a green setting for this architectural gem. The palace serves as a museum displaying artifacts from Tipu Sultan's era, making it an essential stop for history enthusiasts visiting Bangalore's heritage circuit.
