About BR Hills
Biligiri Rangana Hills (BR Hills) is one of the few places where the Eastern and Western Ghats meet, creating an extraordinarily biodiverse corridor. The BRT Wildlife Sanctuary is home to tigers, elephants, leopards, sloth bears, and over 250 bird species. The ancient Biligiri Ranganathaswamy Temple at the summit draws both pilgrims and nature lovers. The K. Gudi Wilderness Camp offers jungle lodging and guided safaris. The indigenous Soliga tribe has lived in these forests for centuries and contributes to conservation through traditional ecological knowledge.
