Puttenahalli Lake Park
Puttenahalli Lake Park is a community-conserved lake in JP Nagar that stands as a testament to what citizen activism can achieve. Rescued from near-extinction by the Puttenahalli Neighbourhood Lake Improvement Trust (PNLIT), the lake has been transformed into a well-maintained ecological park with a dedicated bird-watching platform, clean walking paths, and native landscaping. The lake supports various bird species including herons, kingfishers, and moorhens. PNLIT continues to manage the lake with regular cleanups, tree plantations, and community engagement programs. The walking path around the lake provides a pleasant 1.2 km circuit, and benches along the way offer spots for quiet contemplation.
