About the Beach
Half Moon Beach is a small, secluded crescent-shaped cove nestled between Om Beach and Paradise Beach on the Gokarna coast. Accessible only by a 20-minute trek from Om Beach or by boat, it remains one of the least commercialized beaches in the Gokarna circuit. The beach gets its name from its perfect half-moon shape. A few basic shacks offer food and drinks during peak season. The surrounding rocky headlands and dense vegetation create a private, jungle-meets-sea atmosphere. Camping under the stars is a popular activity, though facilities are minimal.
