About the Waterfall
Soochipara Falls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, is a three-tiered waterfall located in the Wayanad district of Kerala. The falls cascade down into a large natural pool surrounded by massive rocks, making it one of the few waterfalls where swimming is permitted and enjoyable. The name 'Soochipara' comes from 'Soochi' (needle) referring to the needle-like rock formations nearby. The trek down to the falls is steep but well-maintained with steps. Popular for rock climbing and rappelling activities.
