Bugle Rock Park
Bugle Rock Park in Basavanagudi is one of Bangalore's most geologically significant parks, centred around a massive 3-billion-year-old peninsular gneiss rock formation. The park features a watchtower built by Kempe Gowda I, the founder of Bangalore, which served as a boundary marker for the original city. The park is seamlessly connected to the Dodda Ganesha Temple and the famous Bull Temple (Nandi Temple), creating a heritage corridor that spans geological, historical, and religious significance. With well-maintained pathways, gazebos, and seating areas, the park is a favourite among Basavanagudi's senior citizens for morning walks and evening relaxation. The bat population roosting in the ancient rock crevices adds a unique wildlife element. The park underwent a ₹5.4 crore renovation with improved landscaping and lighting.
