Panambur Beach is Mangalore's most popular and well-managed beach, located near the New Mangalore Port. It's one of the few beaches in Karnataka with active lifeguard services and designated swimming zones. The beach hosts the annual International Kite Festival every January, drawing participants from around the world. Water sports including jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides, and speed boat rides are available year-round. The beach has proper amenities including changing rooms, food stalls, parking, and clean restrooms. The Surf Ashram here also offers beginner surfing lessons.
