About Kotilingeshwara Temple
Kotilingeshwara is one of India's most unusual temple complexes. The site's mission is to install one crore (10 million) Shiva Lingas, with millions already in place across the sprawling campus. Devotees can sponsor the installation of a Shiva Linga as an offering. The centerpiece is a massive 108-foot Shiva Linga — one of the tallest in the world — accompanied by a 35-foot Nandi bull. The visual impact of millions of identical Shiva Lingas arranged in neat rows across the grounds is extraordinary and unlike anything else in Indian temple architecture.
