About Shivagange Hill Temple
Shivagange is known as 'Dakshina Kashi' (Varanasi of the South) because the hill resembles a Shiva Linga from a distance. The trek to the summit involves a climb of approximately 2–3 km through rocky terrain and caves, passing sacred springs like 'Olakala Teertha.' The hilltop houses a Gangadhareshwara Temple with a natural spring that flows year-round — remarkable for a hilltop location. The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding plains. Multiple cave temples dot the hillside, each with its own legend and deity. The trek is moderate in difficulty and suitable for beginners.
